As a small independent operator, I collect and store only the absolute minimum of personal data that is necessary to conduct my business as wine educator, tour operator and translator of specialist wine texts. This Privacy Policy will help you understand what personal data I collect and for what purpose. It relates to all personal information which is processed and stored temporarily when you register for a wine tour or seminar, take advantage of other services or communicate with me.

The following personal data are collected whenever you contact me by email, sign up for a seminar or wine tour or send me texts to translate:
- Your title, first and last name
- Contact information, such as your email address, physical address and telephone number
- Business information, such as that which is related to your wine qualifications (eg. WSET) and professional activities in connection with wine
- Any other information which you care to share with your seminar or tour group, such as the details in your introductory biographies which you provide unsolicited at the start of a tour
What purpose is your data collected for?
I need your personal data for the following purposes:
- To contact you and to answer and process your enquiries or requests
- To communicate information to you regarding any tour or seminar that you have registered for
- To send you information regarding planned future tours or events which may be of interest to you
- To manage my everyday business needs regarding your participation in a tour or seminar or in connection with a translation
- To process your payment, such as that which is required for your participation in a tour, seminar or for the completion of a translation assignment
Who will your personal data be shared with?
I treat you personal information with the utmost confidentiality and only share it with third parties when:
- it is necessary for the implementation of our tour programme, such as to gain preferential access to wine estates or to register you for trade-only wine events on our wine tours (VDP Weinboerse, ProWein etc.)
- it is necessary for the processing of a contract made with you
- it is necessary for the processing of a legal requirement
- it is necessary to safeguard legitimate interests and there is no reason to believe that you have a justified interest warranting protection from the disclosure of your information
- you have given me explicit permission to do so
How long do I keep your personal information?
Your information will be stored only as long as is necessary for the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy or according to the respective legal retention periods. If the storage purpose ceases to apply or these retention periods expire, the corresponding data will be routinely blocked or deleted in compliance with statutory provisions.
