Find your favourite style of wine at one of our wine events. You choose the format, from a fun evening (with some learning thrown in) to a full-blown seminar. The aim is always the same: to broaden your knowledge, so you can speak confidently about the subject and be sure to make excellent choices at shops and restaurants.

We will show you how to

• recognize the most popular grape varieties and describe their flavours and aromas
• distinguish between the different regions and wine styles
• analyse wine systematically, taking into account sweetness, acidity, tannins and alcohol
• develop a feel for quality
• get the most of out of each bottle, with tips on decanting, serving temperature and drinking windows

 

What distinguishes us from many of our peers is our hands-on, systematic approach (so many years in teaching obviously leaves its mark)! The content is presented step-by-step in a memorable way. And a huge advantage to learning about wine is that it can never be dry. Each session is punctuated with liquid examples (ca. 8 – 10 wines, depending on the theme) and peppered with anecdotes from regions visited and winemakers we have met.

Recommendations on food and wine matching follow suit, the atmosphere is relaxed and all views are considered, no matter whether you are an “old hand” or just starting out. After all, the best wine is the one you like. But beware: it is hard to remain faithful the more your knowledge grows.
